The Family Support & Connections Program has influenced me by providing connections to community resources based on personal goals and future plans that I wish for my family. It has also offered support within the YRO facility by offering classes according to my baby’s age group to help us build on our relationship and development together. Overall I’m thankful to be a part of this program and the time I get to spend with people who care about advocating for me and other young parents in the Young Roots community. Regarding the FS&C program, I would say you’re someone I can trust! I would say making goals and keeping track has really helped! 🥰

With the support from Young Roots, I feel happier. I always have someone I can talk to. Judgement free. I have a lot of people around me at Young Roots that care about my child, myself and my family. I am saying that because I truly feel it. The environment is positive. Young Roots has helped me be social with other parents and helps me feel empowered. That respite care time gives the biggest relief. Even to just sit untouched for a few minutes was BLISS. My kids are absolutely everything to me but a break was definitely needed!!!! For the first time In weeks they all went to bed by 7pm! So im able to relax tonight. Thankyou SO much for welcoming us! No one is like young roots and I'm so glad that my kids get to enjoy it!

Young Roots Oregon has guided me to be the parent I want to be with educational classes and emotional support not only for myself but for my kids as well. I love being part of young roots, I know my thoughts and questions are always heard and answered with all types of resources open to me. I’ve learned and succeeded to have a beautiful connection and communication with my kids that has helped relieve a lot of stress in parenting. Overall I highly enjoy the connection with all the parents and staff of all different diversities when we come together, they really make me feel comfortable and welcomed.

Since I found out about Young Roots and joined them I have had the opportunity to learn so much about how I can be the best parent possible. I have also found support I didn't know existed. I have learned so many things I will forever utilize, also I've had the pleasure of meeting people and making friendships I will forever cherish. Being a young parent is already hard but specially without a community and support, which is what I feel I've found in Young Roots. From day one my daughter and I have felt nothing but welcomed each time we walk in, we love our group days! Each week we return we're more excited for what's in store for everyone!❤️
