When I first started young roots I was in an incredibly rough spot through my parent mentor and the support of my peers and the staff. I have gotten into a much better place mentally and they have helped me with getting a vehicle and even went above and beyond to advocate for me to get housing. Through them I have found stability, something I didn't think was possible as a single mom. Young roots has improved my life in so many positive ways. I have connected and made new friendships with other moms. My kids love all the staff and have also made friends themselves. I feel heard, loved and appreciated. YRO has helped by advocating for me and has helped me learn how to advocate for myself. YRO gave me a safe place to be a person, a parent, and to become a person that I never thought possible. I will always say that "YRO is the most valuable tool in my belt."

Young roots has been such a blessing to me and my family, connecting us to resources, helping me improve in being a parent and always giving us a hand!

It's a place where dreams of young parents come true! Being a part of YRO has helped me become the parent I once wished on being, with their educational classes and moral support, we've been able to accomplish it.

Young Roots Oregon, and all of their staff have provided exceptional support to my family through their different programs. They offer a whole family experience, with many programs ranging from parenting classes, nutrition classes and a wide range of resources for families. I am beyond grateful for their presence in my family’s lives and everything they’ve done to help us on our journey of parenthood!
